．Sumilarv® 0.5G is a pest larvae control product developed and produced by Sumitomo Chemical, Japan. It will release active ingredients in the water slowly and for a long time.．The active ingredient of Sumilarv® 0.5G, pyriproxyfen, is a type of insect growth regulator (IGR). Its structure is similar to the juvenile hormone (JH) unique to insects. It can interfere with the regulating mechanism of JH in the exposed larvae, thereby causing It causes abnormal development, failure to emerge, reduced fecundity, etc., which suppresses the population of pests and is environmentally friendly at the same time.
