．TopChoice™ granule is the product of BAYER (now ENVU)．
．It only needs to be applied once a year, and watering is required after application to fix and activate the granular particles with the soil.
．When fire ants walk on the ground and contact with the TopChoice™ granules, they will be contaminated with the active ingredient fenpronil. If the fire ants have physical contact with their companions one after another, the infection will spread within the group, forming a domino effect, causing individual fire ants to die one after another.
．It can achieve a complete nest-eliminating effect within 2-3 months after application in areas where fire ants infested, and indeed prevent the spread of fire ants.
．It can prevent secondary invasion in the application area and is effective for up to one year. It is recommended by the government for the prevention and control of red imported fire ants.
．This product was also approved a new feature by the Environmental Protection Agency (now Ministry of Environment) of Taiwan in 2012. It can be spread in environments where biting midge (Forcipomyia taiwana) larvae breed. It can be sprayed twice a year at a dosage of 25-35 kg/ha each time. Suppressing the number of biting midge larvae has good and long-term effects.

．If the weather forecast shows that there will be rain soon (not suitable for heavy rain), you can spray before then to save the labor and cost of watering.

． There are usually two peak periods for biting midges in Taiwan, one is from April to May and the other is September. The effect of the TopChoice™ granules will present about one month after the application, so it is recommended to spread it one month before the two peak periods. Spread every month to achieve the best control results.
． It is generally recommended to spray twice a year. If the occurrence of biting midges in the local area is quite serious, you may consider increasing the amount or frequency of application.
