SIRENIX™ Mosquito Control System
NewMountain was founded by Herbert Nyberg, a former U.S. Navy officer who was inspired by nuclear submarines to create the Larvasonic™ series of products. Larvasonic™'s ultrasonic transmitter emits fixed-frequency ultrasonic waves regularly to injure and kill the mosquito larvae. It is a new generation of environmentally friendly equipment that does not use chemicals and can effectively kill larvae. SIRENIX™ combines the functions of an ovitrap that attracts egg-bearing female mosquitoes with Larvasonic™, and can be powered by solar energy. It is the latest mosquito killing concept.

Larvasonic™ Acoustic Larvicides mechanism of action:
The ultrasonic energy is converted into the resonant frequency of the larvae's trachea and then emitted into the water, causing the tissue around the larvae's back tracheal trunk or the breathing tube of the mosquito pupae to rupture, further causing the death or disability of the larvae or pupae.
How ultrasound kills larvae:
.The larval dorsal trachea burst (visible damage and bubbles).
.The exoskeleton twists violently, causing it to lose its buoyancy, sink to the bottom, and drown.
.The secondary resonance damages other organs and tissues, causing the adult mosquitoes to fail to emerge and die.
SIRENIX™ combines several technologies to kill mosquitoes without using pesticides:
.After filling with water, it can become a breeding source for Aedes mosquitoes, luring egg-bearing female mosquitoes to come closer to lay eggs.
.The flashing blue LED light and black-white patterns can enhance the effect of attracting female mosquitoes.
.The hatched larvae will be attacked and killed by Acoustic Larvicides©, which is released regularly every day.
.Both the blue LED light attractant and the larvae-killing ultrasound can be powered by solar power storage batteries.
